Gürsel Hocam'la tesadüfen tanıştık. Bulunduğu hastaneye memografi ve meme ultrasonu çektirmek için gitmiştim. Biz Gürsel Hoca'yla öyle tanıştık. Benim göğsümde çok sayıda fibro kistlerim vardı. Bu sebepten takipteydim. Ocak 2025'te göğsümde tümör tespit edildi ve ameliyat oldum. Bu süreç içinde hocam bana çok destek oldu. Ona çok güvenirim. Ameliyatımı oldum, hep yanımdaydı. Sürekli beni arayıp, durumumla ilgili bilgi alıyor, eli hep üstümdeydi. Beni hiç yalnız bırakmadı. Çok ilgili bir hekim. Ben ona sonsuz güveniyorum. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim Gürsel Hocam'ı, emin olun çok memnun kalırlar. Ben çok memnun kaldım.
Kızımın göğsünde kitle çıktı, bu sebepten dolayı doktora başvurduk. Muayene etti, ameliyata karar verdi. Ameliyatla kitleyi temizledi. Daha sonra diğer göğsünde de çıktı, onu da temizledi. Hem doktorumuz hem psikoloğumuz oldu. İyi ki kendisini tanıdık, çok memnunuz. İstediğim zaman kendisine ulaşabiliyorum. Ameliyat olsa bile sonrasında hemen dönüyor. Ben nasıl bir iyilik yaptım da karşıma böyle bir doktor çıktı diyorum. Herkese tavsiye ediyorum, ailemizin doktoru oldu. Kendim de muayene oldum, yoğun çalışıyorum, çok yorgundum, tiroidlerime baktı, hemen vitamin önerdi.
Endişelerimiz ve kafamızdaki sorularla boğuşurken, yolumuz doktorumuz Prof. Dr. Gürsel Remzi Soybir ile kesişti. Memedeki kitle sebebiyle bir doktor yakınımın tavsiyesi üzerine Gürsel Bey'e ulaştım. Memedeki kitleyi çok başarılı bir operasyonla temizledi. Sorunsuz geçti. Sonrasında PET çekimi yapıldı ve 3 bölgede daha kitle görüldü. Bununla ilgili de gerekli yönlendirmeleri sağladı. Gürsel Bey alanında çok başarılı bir doktor. Çok iyi bir diyaloğumuz var. Hastasıyla birebir ilgileniyor. Detaylı bilgilendirme sağladı. Ne zaman ihtiyacım olsa ulaşabiliyorum ve yardımcı oluyor. Çok memnunum.
Kızımın tiroid kanseri vardı, tavsiye üzerine Gürsel Bey'e ulaştık. Çok güzel, sorunsuz bir ameliyat gerçekleştirdi. Alanında gerçekten çok donanımlı bir doktor. İnsani yönü de çok kuvvetli. Başka bir doktordan ağlayarak gitmiştim, ben Gürel Bey'e. Bu süreçte bizi çok rahatlattı. Hem kızımı hem bizi aile olarak ameliyata hazırladı. Tek tek, her şeyi en ince ayrıntısına kadar bize anlattı. Gönül rahatlığıyla teslim ettim kızımı. Her zaman ihtiyacımız olduğunda kendisine ulaşabildik. Ne zaman başımız sıkışsa gideceğimiz doktorumuzdur kendisi.

Atina'da yapılan rutin meme kontrollerimdeki ultrason taramasında yapısal bozukluk tespit edilmesi sonucu iletişime geçtim.
Yapılan MR biyopsi işlemi ile lezyon (flat atipi) şüpheli bulundu. Kişisel risk analizi değerlendirmelerime göre doktor bey alınmasını uygun gördüğünü belirtti ve beni bu konuda bilgilendirdi. Devamında bu lezyonun alınmasına birlikte karar verdik ve kendisi ameliyatımı gerçekleştirdi.
Kendisi süreç boyunca ameliyat sonrası da dahil olmak üzere beni her konuda bilgilendirmiş hiçbir belirsizlik, aklıma takılan bir konu bırakmamıştır. Randevularımız dışında da danışmak istediğim bir konu olduğunda kendisi ulaşılabilir olmuş, cevap vermiş, süreç boyunca da beni en hızlı şekilde haberdar etmiştir.
Bu stresli süreçte kendisinin yaklaşımı ve ilgisinden dolayı memnun kaldım. Çevreme tavsiye ettim, etmeye devam da edeceğim.

Teşhis koyması ve tedavi süreci boyunca kendisi sık sık benimle iletişime geçti, yaralarımın pansumanına kendisi karar verdi. Gürsel hoca ile devam etmesem sanırım meme kanseri teşhisini 35 yaşında bu kadar rahat göğüsleyemezdim. Benimden sonra başka arkadaşlarımı da yönlendirdim. Evet, bir hekim olarak çok iyi ama insan olarak da çok iyi birisi. Kendisi ile iyi ki yollarımız kesişti.
