젊은 남자 의사들 (인턴, 레지던트) 교육 좀 시키세요.
환자들에게 어찌나 거만하던지 목에 철심 밖고 사는 사람들 같습니다. 그런 마인드로 어떻게 의사가 되었는지 의심이 들더군요.

우리동네에 이런 병원이 있다는 것에 정말 감사해요.
어렸을때부터 봐와서 애정하는 병원인데(학생때는 봉사활동과 환자와 보호자를 위한 공연도 했었음), 차츰 발전해나가는 모습을 보니 자랑스럽고 멋져요. 현재진행형으로 리모델링 중이던데, 더욱더 발전해서 세계적으로 유명한 병원이 되었으면 좋겠어요.
다른 병원에 비해 먹을곳이 부족해서 아쉽지만, 본관 지하 1층에 있는 커다란 GS25가 커버해주는 것 같아요.

혀 오른쪽 아래 갈라짐(?)과 통증이 있어
동네 병원을 찾았더니
큰 병원을 가봐야 한다는 말에
가까운 [순천향대 부천 병원]으로 갔습니다.
2024의료 사태 때문인지
일단 진료 예약 후 2주정도 걸려
9월24일 진료
이비인후과 박기남 교수님으로 일정 잡았습니다.
잦은 통증보다 무섭게 엄습하는 불안감
그동안 크게 아픈적이 없었기에 오는 공포감..
큰 병원을 다녀본 경험 이라곤
꾀 오래전 조모님의 3년여 간병
다른 이의 병문안이 전부였던 제게
막상 이런 일이 닥치니
모든 게 무너져 내린 심정이었습니다.
24일 당일 박기남 교수님 진찰을 받는데
간단 명료하고 짧게 (박 교수님 특징입니다 ㅎ)
설암으로 보이며
최대한 빠르게 검사를 권유 받았습니다.
MRI/CT/핵검사/조직 검사 등
시간을 최대한 활용하고 빠르게
검사 일정을 잡아 주셨습니다.
지나 보니 그게 얼마나 큰 한 수였던지..
일주일 정도 후 10월1일
조직 검사 결과 설암 2기가 확실 되었네요

10월 11일 수술
혀 아래 암 제거술과
목 임파선 전이 여부 조직 검사 수술은
본인이 하며 성형외과 이식 재건 수술과 함께
병행 된다 수술 시간은 10시간~12시간 걸린다
이미 성형 외과 신호성 교수님과
수술 일정 조율까지 해주셨습니다.
갑작스레 한달 안되는 시간에
몰아 닥치듯 진행되며 결정되는데
아무 생각이 없었습니다.
무슨 생각을 할 수 있었을까...
이후 생각 해보니
그게 박기남 교수님 의 최선 이었다고 봅니다.
설암이 다른 곳으로 빠르게 번져 진행되는 특성에
조금이라도 시급히 진행 하셨던 것 같습니다.
가장 최선이었고 선생님들 입장에서
환자를 위해 최대한의 노력을 다해주셨다고 봅니다.
수술 결정 후 10일이
마치 1년인듯 싶었네요,,,
10월 10일 조기 입원
금식과 함께 병실 배정
11일 아침6시50분경 수술실로 이동..
수술 전 간호 선생님의 짧은 일정을 들었고
수술대 누워 마취 전
"환자분 걱정 마시고,최선을 다 하겠습니다."
이 한마디가 얼마나 큰 위로가 되었던지..
그 당시 큰 심호흡과 함께
마음을 추스리는 힘이 되었네요
눈을 뜨니 정신이 몽롱 했습니다.
아내가 뭐라 말하는데 무슨 소린지 ..
목이 답답 했고 숨쉬는게 힘들었던 기억이 나네요.
잠시 또 정신 없이 시간이 흐르고
다시 눈을 떴을 때
주위가 어둑 했습니다.
꾀 오랜시간 수술을 했고
진행된 상황을 간략하게 들었네요,
수술은 잘 되었습니다.
수술 후 이틀(?)여 정도 마취 진통 주사를 투여 했기에
정신이 몽롱 했는데
자주 간호 선생님들이 신경 써주시고
궁금한 것들을 친절하게 알려 주셨습니다.
정신 들어 보니 금요일 수술
토요일도 일요일도 숨쉬기 힘들다는
갑작스런 호출에
담당의 박기남 교수님이 달려와 주셨었네요..
목 쪽과 혀 반 쪽 제거 수술로
제 스스로 혀를 컨트롤 할 수 없었기에
계속 숨쉬기 힘들 다는 느낌 이었고
기도 확보 여부 등 보아
숨 쉬는데 지장 없었네요.
지나 보니
환자나 보호자나
가장 힘들고 놀랄 때 아니었나 싶습니다.
가장 예민해 지고 신경 날카로워 지고 ....
마취 진통제 때문인지
꾀 오랜 시간이 흐른(?)듯한 느낌이 들던 어느 때
첫 조식을 받아 수저를 뜨고 입에 넣은 순간
아 내가 살았구나.. 싶은 정신이 들었습니다.
수술 후 4일차 쯤 이었나..
마취 진통제 제거 후유증 이였는지
갑자기 모든 게 비관 적으로 보이며
저 스스로 무너 졌습니다.
이상하게 눈물이 계속 흐르고
모든 걸 포기하고 싶다는 생각이 머릿속 가득해 지더군요.
그때 달려와 따뜻한 말로 진정 시켜 주시고
위로 해주셨던 간호 선생님(성함이 기억이 안나 죄송합니다)
진짜 감사 드립니다...
스스럼 없이 농담도 건네 주시고
정신 부여 잡으라고 격려 해주신 간호 선생님 덕분에
다시금 정신 차리고 마음 추렸네요..
그때를 생각 해보면 진짜 아찔했네요..
모든 걸 놔버리고 싶을 지경일 만큼이었는데 ...
정말 감사합니다..
점차 시간이 흐르고 정신 추스르니
하나하나 제거되는 주렁주렁 달렸던 약들..
수술 후 긴 시간인 듯 느껴졌던
일주일 이라는 시간이 흐르고
조직 검사 결과
암이 다행이 다른 곳으로 전이 되지 않음을
확인 받고 퇴원 하게 되었네요.

그 후 몇번의
통원 치료(수술 부위 확인 차)후
이제는 꾀 회복이 진행되어 글 남겨 봅니다.

어릴적초등학교5학년때 교통사고로골반이으스러져서 갔는데 의료진은 찬절한대 검사를할때 환자 상태가어떠한지 안보고무조껀 검사만진향함 아프다고하면 참으라고만함진심뼈뿌러졌는대 안뿌려져보면 절때모를통증 ㅠㅠ 병원에2달입원했었눈데 베드로옮기는데 뼈부러진환자 던지듯 내려놔서놀랐음...수술은 잘돼서 재활도잘받아서잘걸어댕기지만 그때생각하면 화가남
뼈가부로진환자를 확 내동댕이치둣 옮기니화가나서따짐 무뚜둑함 의사쌤과간호사님은친절한데 옮겨주고하는직원 좀 딱딱함

부모님이 심혈관계 뇌졸중으로 쓰러지셔서 입원했었는데 온갖 시험 하면서 사람을 반 잡아놓고 (의사 간호사들이 사람을 물건 다루듯이함. 심장내시경 하는데 호스를 하도 쌔게 쑤셔 넣어서 심장벽을 찔러서 아버지가 2주 가까이 그 곳이 아프다 하시는데도 아무것도 아니라면서 일관함.) 결국에는 원인도 못찾고 대충 방법 없으니 그렇게 살으라는 식으로 말하길래 더 큰 병원에서 진료 받고 원인도 찾아서 그래도 그 동안 담당해준 의사에다 남은 진료예약도 있어서 소견이나 들어보려고 찾아갔더니 한다는 말이 병원쇼핑을 하냐니 이렇게 병원 여러곳 다니는 게 국민 세금이니 의대생 증원이 이래서 문제라느니 이딴 소리를 환자한테 늘어놓는게 과연 의사가 할짓인지 의문이네요. 본인들의 무능력함을 왜 환자탓을 하는건지? 신경학과 이모선생 조심하시길.

의료진이 다 그러진 않겠지만 최악의 불친절한 의사를 만난곳이라 다신 가고 싶지 않아요.
책임지고 싶지않아서 보호자가 제일 중요하게 생각하는걸 알려주지 않고 조언을 구해도 보호자 선택이라 하고 의식도 제대로 없는 노인을 도움도 별로 안되는 치료를 끝끝내 하게 만들고 결국 10일만에 돌아가셨네요. 의식도 제대로 없는 노령환자의 상태를 별로 고려도 안한 치료가 진정한 치료인지 묻고 싶네요
