저희 어머니가 서울 부민병원에 입원 중이시고 담당의사는 소화기내과 전문의 입니다. 현재 건강 상태가 매우 위중해 언제 임종을 맞이하셔도 이상하지 않은 상황이며, 병원에 입원하신지도 열흘 됐습니다. 그런데 선생님이 몇 차례에 걸쳐 반복적으로 3인실에서 1인실로 옮기라 권유해 왔고, 결국 2인실에서 다시 1인실로 옮기라고 강하게 귄유하고 있습니다. 임종하기 전에는 그렇게 하는게 맞다고 계속 주장하고 계십니다. 하지만 어머니는 지금 2인실에 계시며, 옆 침대는 비어있고, 다른 병실도 여유가 있는 상황입니다 .1인 실은 하루에 40만 원이 넘는 고가 병실임에도 불구하고, 병원 측에서는 반복적으로 전실을 권유하고 있어 매우 불편하고 당황스럽습니다.
또한, 저는 미국에서 일하고 있어서 어머니의 치료 관련 서류에 병원 의사의 서명을 요청드렸으나 담당 의사는 마치 남의 일인듯 무성의하고 냉담한 태도로 알아서 하시라는 식으로 대응했습니다. 중환자 가족 입장에서 이런 태도는 너무나 당황스럽고 보호자로서 큰 상처를 받았습니다. 환자의 상태나 보호자의 절박한 요청은 전혀 고려되지 않고 있어 유감스럽습니다.
중요한 가족을 병원에 맡긴 입장에서 최소한의 존중과 협조는 기대하고 있었는데 이번 일로 병원의 대응 방식에 깊은 실망을 느낍니다.

실력도 안되고 인성도 안되는 간호사들이 많다. 환자들이 좀 불편해하면 틱틱거리는 간호사들이 있다. 프로정신은 없고 유치원감정수준.
한 간호사는 소독하면서 수술부위를 손끝으로 꾹꾹 눌렸다. 환자가 고통을 호소하자, 흥~치 거리며 나갔다.
후에, 담당의사가 오더니 대끔, "불평하지말고 특별취급을 원하면 다른 병원에 가라"고 했다. 그것도 며칠전 수술로 인해, 진통제에 정신이 혼미한 환자한테.....

정형외과에서 보행조차 불가한 상태라는 진료의뢰서를 받고, 119 구급차를 타고 응급 이송된 환자에게 응급의학과 전문의라는 사람은 비아냥 거리는 말투로 입원 하고 싶으세요? 잘만 걸으시더만요. 소리 듣고 당일 진료로 28만원 내실 돈 많은 분들만 가시길 추천합니다. 간호사 조차도 같이 물든건지 오늘 하루 환자 없이 보내고 싶다. 마인드로 환자가 자진해서 집에 가게하는 곳 입니다.
어머니께서 갑작스러운 명치 통증으로 인해 길에서 쓰러지셨고, 가까운 정형외과에서 보행이 불가능할 정도라는 진단을 받고 119 구급차를 이용해 부민병원 응급실로 이송되었습니다.
응급실에서 CT 촬영 후 추가 검사를 위해 입원을 진행하려고 했으나, 의료진의 태도와 대응 방식에 대해 심각한 의문을 가지게 되었습니다.
1. 의료진의 환자 대응 태도 문제
어머니께서는 극심한 통증으로 몸을 움직이기도 어려운 상태였습니다. 하지만 당시 응급실에는 환자가 한 명뿐이었음에도 불구하고, 의료진(응급의학과 전문의 및 간호사 약 5명)은 도움을 주기는커녕 방관하는 모습을 보였습니다. 환자가 힘겹게 몸을 일으키려 할 때조차 부축하지 않았고, 보호자가 없는 동안에도 어떤 적극적인 지원도 없었습니다.
2. 응급의학과 전문의의 부적절한 발언
보호자인 제가 뒤늦게 도착하여 입원 절차를 진행하려 하자, 담당 의사는 “입원이 하고 싶으세요?”라는 말을 했습니다. 이에 저는 “하고 싶어서가 아니라 이동조차 어려울까 봐 그렇다”고 답했으나, 의사는 “움직일 때 보니까 잘 걸으시던데요?”라는 식으로 응대했습니다. 이는 환자의 상태를 고려하지 않은 채 단순한 외형적 모습만으로 판단한 무책임한 발언이며, 환자의 고통을 축소하고 경시하는 태도로 비칠 수밖에 없습니다.
3. 병원의 환자 관리 및 응급 시스템 문제

지인추천으로 부민병원에서 진료를 보게되었는데 주차관리하시는 분들도 너무 친절하시고 병원이 전반적으로 너무 쾌적했어요~ 1층에 폴바셋, 편의점이 있어 진료마치고 나와서 쉬었다 갈 수도 있어요~ 담당의사,간호사님들의 한분한분 천사처럼 웃어주시고 너무 아파서 갔는데 그 따뜻한 친절에 금방 나았네요~^^* 타 큰병원에 가면 예약만 엄청 걸리는데 진짜 너무 좋네요~100점 만점에 100점드리고 싶네요~
