An awesome trip was spoiled due to bad attitude of their front office staff.I had stayed for 1 full week and checked out on 18/5/25 .I had ordered cab services through the front office staff (Shubham ) .Inspite of continuous request regarding the cab service, to my shock and horror the cab booked by Shubham was shockingly bad.The driver was not only unprofessional and rude but the cab was lacking basic maintenance and kept on making big noise for 6 hours till I reached Delhi,an absolute nightmarish experience .The cab smelled so bad ,I literally had to stop my self from vomiting on several occasions.
That having said apart from this horrible experience the other part of the trip was wonderful in particular Chef Rawat ,Arun ,Dr Joshi ,Dr Ankita ,Vivek and Yoga instructor Mr Gajender Negi .The support staff does an absolute awesome job and are only a phone call away .Last but not certainly the least ,I had an awesome experience talking about life and philosophy with fellow guest I met from across India and across the world .

I learnt a lot about different foods, spices, grains and much more from staff at restaurant. Food is freshly cooked and so tasty at all times.

To all foreign travelers: do not fall into this trap.
We are currently writing this from Veda5 Rishikesh, where we just experienced the most absurd situation in 3 years of traveling.
We paid €600 for a 3-day experience through Get Your Guide—a platform used by millions around the world and one we’ve used in countless countries without any issues. After seeing this retreat listed while we were in Rishikesh, we decided to extend our stay to relax and join a meditation retreat.
After a one-hour journey into the mountains (and €25 spent on transportation), we arrived at Veda5 and were told we hadn’t paid. We showed our payment confirmation, and that’s when the situation spiraled. An argument ensued for over an hour, a complete disaster that we even needed to call the police.
Instead of offering any solution or professionalism (at what is supposed to be a meditation and yoga retreat), the manager and receptionist insisted we cancel our already paid (non-refundable) booking and pay them directly—claiming they were having issues receiving money from Get Your Guide. As if that had anything to do with us. They even tried to shift the blame onto us, which was beyond unacceptable.
We’ve had the most amazing experiences around the world, but the treatment we received at Veda5 was the worst we’ve ever encountered—especially for such an expensive service by Indian standards.
To make matters worse, by 8 PM they canceled our booking entirely without any plausible reason, leaving us with no place to stay - 8PM in the middle of the mountains, during a busy holiday weekend in Rishikesh. After a lot of hassle from our side they allowed us to stay for the night.
This was supposed to be a peaceful retreat that we were really excited to do, but instead it turned into an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience. Now we are in the room, miles away from home, with our 3 days retreat completely ruined, trying to find out where to go tomorrow.
Now imagine yourself coming from your country all the way to Rishikesh to do a Yoga Retreat and arriving here and they simple cancel it while you’re in front front of them showing them the booking confirmation and payment receipt. This is a SCAM!
