What do you do when you discover on your 46th birthday that your Cancer Marker tests are positive?
You scramble to find oncologists that tell you the truth and try put together a team that’ll help you cruise thru the rough waters.
This is what happened - I found out that I might harbour an ovarian cancerous mass. 24th June was my birthday and 1 July my Son’s birthday.
While meeting Dr Tapan, his realism and honesty won me over - his ability to share the spectrum of results during the open surgery.
On 7 July 2022 I under went a Total Abdominal Open Hysterectomy with frozen section - removing my reproductive organs, and impacted tissues.
Of course a decision to run into a sudden major surgery (a third for me) was difficult - but putting together a strong team and having my husband at my side, every moment made it simpler.
Nearly after 24 hours, still in ICU I took my first steps and as I write it today, 18 July, I am able to manoeuver independently (tho not skipping yet :)).

Dr Tapan Singh chauhan in Artemis hospital is one of the best well experienced onco surgeon specially in the field of robotic surgery. Dr Tapan is the King of robotic surgeries. He do his work with total dedication.He did the surgery radical hysterectomy of my known patient from Tajikistan with very good results she recovered very fast and surgery was totally riskless with very small incisions. My colon adenocarcinoma was diagnosed in Artemis Hospital. Dr Tapan Singh Chauhan performed a Robotic ( LAR) surgery with a clean sweep. No trace of tumour afterwards.
