Where as I’m reluctant to post a before photo of myself I feel it’s necessary to do so just to highlight to everyone what an amazing surgeon Dr Lev is as my before, after photos will testify .I live in the UK but having had a facelift with Dr lev ten years ago I was willing to travel the long distance again as I was so pleased with the previous facelift I had . I had lost a lot of weight in September 2 and a half stone in order to get healthier and fit into the wonderful clothes I own but could no longer fit into . Loosing that amount of weight three stone in total since may made my face sag and I was very unhappy with my under eye wrinkles . Not crows feet but terrible crepiness below my eyes. Dr Levs coordinator arranges everything from forwarding your before photos without makeup front and side to Dr Lev” s recommendations there is a video consultation available for a small fee . You then let Didi know if you want to proceed with the surgery and find available dates . The only thing you have to do is arrange the flights, pay the Deposit and choose which of the recommended places you wish to stay at . I chose Verdeza I can’t speak highly enough about them the staff are genuinely absolutely gorgeous so friendly and helpful the meals are delicious which I ate at the restaurant before the surgery but from then on I chose room service and they were all brought to my room an hour before which a lovely staff member shows you the menu for you to choose. The meals are all freshly prepared and delicious and healthy. When you arrive in San Jose a taxi is waiting for you that took me to Verdeza it was late at night but on opening my room a beautiful meal and dessert, juice , coffee was awaiting. You spend a day there we walked the two minutes to the designer village beautiful Starbucks where we took advantage of the beautiful weather. The following day a taxi is at the foyer waiting to take you to your final consultation with dr lev . Some people just want to look refreshed and don’t want people on returning home to think they have had anything done just look amazing but can’t put their fingers on it . I’m from the camp of make me look as young as is humanly possible. Obviously when you get back home people are going to realise you look 20 years younger that’s not a problem for me . The following day you are picked up for your operation and return back at your place of stay the following day . Verdeza staff looked after me extremely well bringing my medication checking on me and bringing my meals on the third day they help you to shower washing and conditioning your hair for you . All appointments to dr lev are arranged and your taken from the foyer to see dr lev and returned . After a few days my daughter and myself resumed our short walk to Starbucks with the help of sunglasses. When I felt well enough the staff in reception ordered me a taxi and we went to the massive designer village five minutes drive away which then became a daily habit . Taking it easy but the clothes in Zara in San Jose are amazing I could hardly close my two suitcases . I would stress that if you stay at Verdeza it is never cold I packed two wool dresses, two wool jumpers and a dressing gown all were not necessary and I’m mrs cold . The weather is so nice you only need t shirts and leggings I did take one zip up light fleece on operation day as you do get cold after an anaesthetic. If you stay at the other recommended places it might get colder in the night but in Verdeza I had the overhead fan on and the cool setting on the air conditioning . I also met some amazing residents at Verdeza who had the most incredible life stories and what they have achieved and like I said the staff were gorgeous. Well needless to say I am ecstatic with my results. The initial photos I sent back home to friends thought that I was having a laugh and had applied a face app to make myself appear decades younger . I assured them they were taken with my phone with no alterations. I had a deep plane facelift this time which Dr lev introduced three years ago before that I had a smas facelift ten years ago with him which is also long lasting but not as long lasting as the deep plane it is known as the “ one and done” facelift. The reason for having this facelift was because of the dramatic weight loss which made my face sag and the fact my other facelift was ten years ago . I was delighted with the previous one that’s why I decided to return all that way for another.

Hello there. October 25th, 2023- I have just decided on a doctor and I wanted to start posting things for my review. This is the beginning of my journey..I have chosen Dr Alejandro Lev MD from Costa Rica. So far all of his reviews had been amazing. His work looks seamless. This is a scary process and the knowledge I have gathered from resources tell me I'm in good hands with Doctor Lev. So far I have reached out to his assistant Didi and she is amazing. That's all I know so far but will keep posting as the weeks go on. Nov1 -I have been selected to be patient of Dr Lev for a facelift. Didi give me a few options for dates and I have chosen Nov 29th. Jan18th- 7 weeks post op.. I want to share my story with all of you trying to make a decision about who to go to. The answer: Dr Alejandro Lev in Costa Rica.Price was under 9k and soooo worth it. I found my doctor here on the real self… I did so much research prior because going out of the country seemed a bit scary at first thought. I’m so thankful that I chose Dr. Alejandro Lev and his after care of "Mercedes home." This surgeon treat you like you’re his only patient… So loving and kind. Dr. Alejandro Lev takes extra time for everything and anything you may need. He is absolutely amazing and truly cares about his patience. He greets you with a hug and is so sincere when he listens to what you re wrong to get out of this surgery.. what exactly do you want. Everyone is different and he wants to get it "just right" for each and everyone of his patience. He is amazing! H is "perfectionist" with hi surgeries. He has Ben doing plastic surgery for over 30 year and le me tell you.. he knows what he is doing. He is the ONLY choice. For real. I mention his ensure threw out this review because it is justLOADED with such helpful information. All the in's and outs of what is about to happen. Lots of before and after pictures too From the moment that i landed in Costa Rica I felt right at home. The aftercare facility that I chose was called Mercedes Cassa… She has been taking care of Dr. Levs patience for over 20 some years. Her place is just a few block to Dr Levs office. So convenient. When I arrived at the costa rica airport, there was someone waiting for me with a sign with my name on it. I was never scared or worried.I landed on a Monday… Went and checked into the place that I had chosen ahead of time… Mercedes Cassa...sh sent the driver for me to be picked up. ( options are in his website "eternally vain")Tuesday I had my consultation with Dr. Lev and Wednesday morning I had my surgery.Eliecer my driver brought me in and got me checked in.I chose the cheaper option and used the local clinic versus a nearby hospital option and that saved me about $2000 by using his local clinic instead of the hospital in a nearby town. I felt completely safe and clean. There were two nurses that stayed with me in my room all night long for post operation care for the fort 24 hours.Thursday morning I woke up Dr. Lev spoke with me ...checked everything out and make sure that I was good and then my driver, Eliécer, picked me up and brought me back to Mercedes Casa the after care facility.Mercedes (Mercy was what we call her) was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what I would need from moment to moment and day to day.. it was amazing after care with her.I rested all day Thursday and then on Friday they took off the hard helmet and put on a softer wrap. I rested again on Friday and Saturday, and by Sunday I was feeling good enough for a quick trip to the market… just to get out of the house for a bit.I had several appointments with Dr Lev to remove stitches and just wellness check on me. This doctor I so amazing he gave me his personal phone number and has called me several times after I got back to the states to just check on me. This man is wonderful and very sincere. There is an amazing driver, who picked me up and took me everywhere I wanted to go during the entire two weeks… All of my appointments… Trips to the market… Even a touring trip to the original Starbucks coffee farm that’s only a quick 30 minutes from Mercedes casa. His name is Eleazar and he’s absolutely delightful . Super sweet.. fluent in English and has lived in this town his whole life.. you are in very very safe hands the entire time you are there. I am telling you this because I just went threw this and I realize how scary it is to think of leaving the country. Well this Doctor … the way he has everything you could ever need already prepared and set up for you....there is absolutely nothing scary about Cost Rica. This surgeon has been doing plastic surgery for over 30 years and he’s extremely good at it. I would say that Dr. Lev is an artist for sure. Just check out all of his before and after a on his website "Eternally Vain" I would trust his hands on my mother on my sister on my daughter. That’s how good this man is.I have to Xpress just how amazing Mercedes and Ingrid were. These are the caretakers at Mercedes home. This place is so clean… Ingrid is constantly wiping and mopping and sweeping and keeping things sanitary and sparkling at all times. This home is huge and Mercedes is an amazing home care and recovery individual .Mercedes has been caring for Dr. Levs patients for almost 30 years. She knows what sort of vitamins your body needs during recovery and has 15 ways to prepare them for you. From breakfast with a fresh beet and carrot juice delight… to complete protein low fat dinners… she is a former chef with the knowledge and experience under her belt that you will never find a better aftercare facility than hers. She knew I would need smoothies.. fresh fruit from the market .. every morning for the first 2 days. I always felt so taken care of and loved threw the entire process. She knew what and when I needed something way before I even had a clue. She is so kind and knowledgeable…absolutely amazing experience. I stayed with her for 14 days total and it was such a BLESSING! I loved this place and her wonderful supernatural care for me that I CRIED when I left that place. I will tell you she has even texted me and checked on me since I have been home… now that is a truly LOVELY woman.Everything went exactly the way it was supposed to… Praise God… I would tell everyone that I know to trust their lives and face with this doctor and his aftercare team. The best of the best. You will want for nothing.… It is an all inclusive aftercare with Mercedes and her helper Ingrid. She will have you back on your feet in no time I know that my beautiful healing progress was directly related to the wonderful aftercare that I experienced.. the peace of mind …the proper food… the clean environment… And the organization that goes on between Mercedes and the doctor is quite something.You can request to stay with her threw their website on “Eternally Vain” and when you set things up threw DiDi.. DiDi is another super wonderful part of what Dr Lev has put in place for your visit to Costa Rica.Look up his website… Eternally vain… you will see that every question you have will be answered by his lovely and extremely amazing liaison Didi. DiDi is your number one go to girl… From first contact until you land in Costa Rica… She is Johnny on the spot with your all your answers and reminders to get things done and in place prior to your adventure across the world to Costa Rica. DiDi is delightful and never let me down… She is your number one cheerleader that has dedicated herself to getting you prepared and to the surgery date with ease and peace. She is amazing… D.d. does most of Dr. Levs website and truly truly knows what she’s talking about… PLEASE TRUST HER! I will say this.. bring cash for tips that don't have any TEARS on the bill.. ( it is a thing over there). And make sure you take care of the ones that took care of you. They would never ask.. but boy do they deserve it. Super happy check out his website at Eternally Vain ...the entire experience was so great. Everything was taken care of for me and I was set up for success. Updated on 22 Jan 2024: I wanted to say I also got a chemical peel around my mouth while I was under ($500.00) it took the wrinkles out above my lip. This was the first time I ever got a chem peel and It is pretty strong. The skin healed in about 10-14 days but stayed a SHADE of red until last week.. (5weeks) you can easily put make up over it.. I just don't wet make up so I didn't. But it now looks like the rest of my face skin color. I will post a few pictures in here... these were while I was in the aftercare facility except the one in blue shirt.. that one is the airport picture and is actually on day 10 post op... on my way back home. So that's how healed the Chem peel was when I left for home. None of these pictures I post will have any make up on me except for ONE of them in the original review has eyeshadow.. all the rest I am not wearing a drop of makeup. Updated on 29 Feb 2024: The hairline incisions was m option because of my large forehead I couldn't do the cranial cut. Dr Lev did a fantastic job and the hair is all ready regrowing and covering it at 3 months. Here re 3 pictures from today. Updated on 29 Feb 2024: Updated on 21 Apr 2024: Updated on 8 Jun 2024: Everything is healed. I feel my neck muscles are loose again.. I have full range of motion. My hair is growing back great. No scars on my ears. Dr Lev is amazing doctor. A very close friend and I spent time together in October of last year. I seen her this week.. we spent everyday together for 2 weeks and she still has no idea what is different about me. I look perfectly natural and normal. She knows I've lost sone weight but m procedure has not even crossed her mind. I feel fantastic and healthy.
