We chose to bring my Late mother under the expertise of Dr. Rahul Bhargava due to his reputation for compassionate patient care and excellent reviews. My mother had a blood-related condition, and when her health suddenly declined, she was transferred to the emergency ward and put on an ECG. My father and I remained in constant contact with Dr. Bhargava to come and attend the patient for once where he continuously kept on saying that he will come later in few minutes . Throughout our time in the emergency ward, I observed an atmosphere that only heightened my mother’s anxiety. A female doctor mentioned, in her presence, that she should be moved to the ICU. The comment visibly distressed her. Shortly after, she suffered a cardiac arrest. In a state of urgency, I reached out to Dr. Bhargava, imploring him to attend to her, but he responded dismissively and, in a highly distressing moment, raised his voice. When my father joined me in requesting Dr. Bhargava's immediate attention, he refused, suggesting that another team doctor would attend to her. This interaction escalated into an argument, during which he threw his stethoscope onto the table and stated, “Kya kar lega tu (What will you do?)”. After returning to the emergency ward, we learned that she had suffered a second cardiac arrest, from which she did not recover.
Report says she got Cardiac Arrest due to Septic Shock Despite our repeated pleas, the attending doctor did not come once. When questioned, Dr. Bhargava stated, “Hum doctor hai, bhagwan nahi (We are doctors, not God)”. This experience has left our family deeply scarred. It raises a few critical concerns: Lack of Immediate Response: We fail to understand why Dr. Bhargava, despite being informed of her critical state and the transfer to ICU, did not respond to our urgent calls for assistance. Emergency Ward Environment: It was alarming to witness patients with varying degrees of illness housed together in the emergency ward. Critically ill patients and those with less severe conditions share the same space, creating unnecessary panic and distress for patients and their families. The lack of privacy and individual attention may be detrimental to those in fragile conditions. It has been six months since this incident, and we continues to feel the pain of that day.

Only we know the reality of what happened and what it cost us and we know how will you behave with us again.
