I am an employee of IIT MADRAS. Dr k r Balakrishnan performed open heart surgery to my daughter, S. ASHALATHA in 1989 at the age of 6 years at the Railway Hospital, perambur, chennai. She is now 41 years old. Actually, it was a complicated surgery, the patient suffered from pulmonary hypertension severe. He saved my daughter, she in USA. Dr KRB as he’s affectionately called, he’s a compassionate genius. He got my dad back from a place no one should ever be at. Just the confidence in which he and his team went about bringing him back step by step was amazing and his counseling and clarity of thought when he counsels you is simply amazing. My dad had an heart failure and is 67. Now he’s recovering from a heart transplant. Can’t be grateful enough to doctor Balakrishnan and his team.
