My dad returned from the Second Chechen War without a leg - he served in the artillery troops. The 19-year-old guy saw the death of not only his closest comrades, officers, but also civilians.
After 5 years, he managed to get a prosthesis; he works as a taxi driver. Three children and a loving wife are always waiting warmly at home, everything is wonderful. Only at night my father woke up every hour, raving in his sleep. “When you dream about war, comrades, it’s like a demon has taken over.” In the morning I was already sitting in the kitchen with a bottle of vodka. Sometimes during the day on a weekend he sees something about the war on the news - his blood pressure rises, he goes into his room, asks not to be disturbed, and sobs.
This went on for almost 20 years, until at one of the meetings with “brothers in arms,” as he calls them, dad was told about military post-traumatic disorder, which every defender of the Fatherland can have. My father told me, he says it will pass. But then, in my search, I came across the ISRACLINIC psychiatric clinic. It turned out that online consultation is possible. The next day they sat my dad in front of the laptop: 15 minutes of tears, 5 minutes of laughter, then tears again - it’s hard to remember, talk about and realize. The doctor prescribed not some pills or traditional methods of treatment, but a conversation. A month of therapy with weekly contact, I remember one homework task - “leave away from the computer, the session is over, kiss your wife, play with the children, watch a comedy film with the whole family.
For six months, at least once a month, the father himself signed up for a session, told how he felt better, and thanked the doctors. The most pleasant moment was that by the New Year, for the first time in all this time, my father told us: “I feel great, now I know why life is worth living.” Now my father has strength for both work and family. Occasionally he has nightmares related to the war, he wakes up, hugs his wife and falls asleep. In the morning he no longer remembers the essence of the dream, he remembers that it was simply scary. Many thanks to the specialists, the call center, and the management of the clinic for partially restoring our family. After all, the worst thing is when a person exists physically, but spiritually he is trampled.

If you ignore your problem for a long time, everything can turn out like what happened to me. I kept thinking that I could handle it myself, I'm strong.
